The rise of Jio amid peak competition from other Telecom Operators

This is 2017 and we all know about the Jio and the subscriber base it has created in last 12 months. Just a year ago, it was in testing phase with about 5 Million subscribers. Now, within the 12 months it has gained 95% of new customers. Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited or Jio is a 4G LTE only enabled operator in India. It does not support any other network technology except the 4G. It has partnered with RCom for 3G spectrum in some areas of countries. Until now, it is not clear whether it is in use or not by Jio in any part of the country.

Well, this only 4G only network has shaken the Telecom market in India. Other telecom operators have reduced the prices of their packs upto 90%, to tackle with the competition. If we talk about industry leader, Airtel, then it is big sufferer behind the Jio marketing.

Now in India, Jio is emerging as a big player in providing the 4G Data to phone users. Recently, it has also launched the Jio Feature Phone for Rs 0. You can buy it by giving security fees of Rs. 1500. You can take back the money after the span 3 Years.

Similarly, they are planning to launch the Jio Fiber – FTTH service by the end of this year to major cities in India. Reliance Jio’s founder, Mukesh Ambani has annocuned the FTTH service is the next big thing after the feature phone.

Currently, they are targeting the 500 Million feature phone users in India which are still on 3G networks. Reliance Jio want to convert that 500 Million users to their network.

The new Feature phone will be running on 4G network, it will give you ability to watch Live TV, Cinema and many other hignson theGo.

This is a welcome move from Jio !
